There's always a risk involved with doing it this way because if Blogger decide to shut your blog down (for whatever reason), you would lose all your content. It also doesn't look as professional to have a blog address like http://yourblog.blogspot.com or http://yourblog.wordpress.com. And if you want to make money, first impressions mean a lot. I think hosting is so cheap these days that it's worth spending a few extra dollars to own your content and have a real blog address like http://yourblog.com -- especially if you want to make money.
As long as you're not publishing illegal content, there shouldn't be a problem. But I would just back up everything on your blog just in case. I don't think you can retrieve the blog once blogger decides to delete it.
If you are just building backlinks for your money site, blogger is great. In the few study done by fellow DP members, blogger tends to get indexed fast and favoured by Google. That makes sense because Google owns blogspot.
How do you back up your blogspot's blog ? if there is a tools/software to do so, can you share with me ? Just wondering as I hardly use blogger. But if there is an easy way to backup, i will consider it. As I said, to build backlinks back to my money site.
None have mine have been wiped. Creating IM or Affiliate blogs though on the platform is equivalent to setting out to sea to concur new worlds on a straw yacht and lighting gasoline soaked touches at night to find your way. I bailed from free accounts and blogs a year ago. The only thing I use free blogs for is to prove that paid hosting does better.
I've used blogger for my 1st ever website. I was earning $30 consistently on that website and one day when I woke the website suddenly disappear. I've e-mail almost all Blogger support e-mail addresses to ask for an explanation on why they deleted it but I didn't get any response from them. They didn't even give me an e-mail that they needed to delete it or an explanation e-mail from them. If you're planning and serious to own a website and monetize it long term, I would suggest that you should buy your own domain name and hosting. Blogger is only good for beginner IMO. Own domain name and hosting is the way to go.
I really hate Blogger, I had a normal blog and overnight it got deleted. And no Support no FAQ no Questions Answered! It has been over 2 weeks I sent an email to them to check my blog again.
So what happen, mind to share ? Do you mean blogger doesn't allow you to register or you feel the interface is too complicated ?
