CSS/ DHTML vs Joomla

    Hi All,

I'm learning graphic design via photoshop with a view to building websites.

Should I go through the time and tested HTML/CSS path or learn Joomla? Are the plugins for Joomla many and varied enough to cover off on most requirements?

Have people gone down the joomla path only to find that it doesn't meet their requirements? Will Joomla have a limited shelf life?

What would be the time difference between these different approaches?

    Any feedback would be great.

    Thanks,

    John

    Totally agreed with this.
HTML/CSS is the basis for web design/dev. You'll need solid grab on them.

Joomla is a content management system. Its based on PHP and MySQL to generate the site, i.e generating HTML/CSS. Basically, so user could just input text & images when updating content.

Hope this ultra-shortened explanation is helping you to understand more on this case :)
