People don't click on ads

I have observed that as the time is passing by, more and more people are becoming familiar about ads. Now they know that which part of the site is ad portion and which one is site's original content, although it is fully mixed up. So, they don't click on ads, what do you think about it ?

Yeah, I agree too. It's time to adSense offer us more ads formats or to allow us to completely modify our ads (ad size, number of links in ad unit, background transparency, font size etc). I sent an email to adSense team with this request. Guess you should too.

not everyone will click on your ads. only a certain % of visitors will. if you have repeat visitors, they will click at the beginning and then will most like only click if they find an interesting ad. thats the way it is. just keep on promoting your site and try to drive more traffic. clicks will come when the traffic comes

I will agree with you on that, but there are still a lot of people that do click on ads. As said right above me... Concentrate on getting traffic to your site and your ads will be clicked...

Always, if at all possible, build a relationship with your visitors, then do business.

If you position your ads right and use the right colors (depending on your layout), you should be able to achieve a 9 or 10% CTR.

Well...what to do... It is happening almost every website... The thing is to diversify your income source...dont just depend on 1 souce of income.

Oh, I really do not understand.... Lot of you here are talking about incredible high CTR such 10% or even higher. Is this just a joke or what? I have perfectly blended ads on perfect positions and I can't even get more than 2% !!! I have a big block on the beginning of my articles, also have link units in navigation (ideal blended) and my CTR these days is 0.90 - 1.15% which is poor. For God's sake, how you can get 10% ?!

10% is not that difficult. You need to test, test, and test until you get the right colors, placements, and size. Keep in mind that just because your site looks nice doesn't mean that your ads are in the right place!

You need to mix the Google ads with your site. I am impressed the way Softpedia.com does it. You can learn from this site.

I think it's true for a certain types of people, that is technical people who are not adsense publishers (because adsense publishers have long been hard to get to click)

But for middle aged women, looking for general interest topics, they still click like in the 2000s :)

10% is a pretty high CTR. I think the average is like 1-2%. You must be doing something very right.

More and more people use an AD BLOCKER

either as a plug-in to their browser or part of their anti virus/firewall like Norton.

I usually only see ads when i chose to see them.

You need a site that targets newbies :)
    for advets to work.
