Contest Long $65 Logo design contest - ends Saturday 4/17

Hey there,

Putting together a blog about medical insurance for travelers and am looking for a logo I can use in the header and other places on the site.

Looking for a logo that incorporates, surprise surprise, symbols/elements of both travel and medical. Maybe a jet paired with a caduceus (common medical symbol) or a suitcase and a 6-point cross. I am always impressed with the creativity of individuals on Digital Point so I will leave it up to you.

The domain name is "O var o dot com" (without the spaces, of course). The tagline for now will be "Medical Insurance for Travelers" though I will probably change this to something slightly more interesting.

Looking for something that is going to appeal to an older/wealthier/well-traveled demographic, age range is 35yo and up.

I would like to avoid the very typical and cliche colors of most medical sights, medium blue and medium green, and also avoid overly warm colors like bright reds/yellows/oranges.

So, just to be clear:
1. Subject: medical and travel
2. Audience: 35yo, older, affluent
3. No bright, in-your-face colors
4. Should include domain name and tagline

I would like the raw/original/PSD file as well as a couple sizes of jpegs that are web-ready.

Thanks... the colors aren't bad. The jet/caduceus image is a little fruity though. And pretty basic all around.

 

Thanks. Wow... that is a.... fancy logo! Not so sure about the colors - esp black - the planet/caduceus thing is cool tho.

 

I really like this. I like the plane cutout of the V. I wish the V were an A tho and the plane was pointing up. A plane pointing downwards brings a feeling of dread to just about anyone. Can you change it? Try the plan reverse silhouette in the letter A (make it upper case but same size at other letters)? But, heck, what do I know... just mix it up!

Hi, Here is my entry.

The symbol has both Medical and travel. Symbol can also stand alone. Colors edit is not a problem.

Have you spotted the two themes?

Older richer colours, for the more discerning traveller. Spelling mistakes irritate the older generation .

BUT I've seen that logo from other websites and its not made by you.

I'll search if someone wants proof but that is not work by you.

Please people make your own designs...
