If you are referring to the log then I cant help you. The log file is not meant to be an accurate method of tracking your submissions as I explained on our support forums. This is for the purpose of troubleshooting the submissions and adding new ones for us. We are just giving access to everyone to see it. Most people cant even decode what all of it means. If you need more help PM me.
Here's a question: how does this work if a submitter chooses a category that does not exist in one or more of the directories in the database? What happens with those directory submissions?
When I or Katherine add a new directory here is what happens. We have a our standard category list that we use. Its around 100 categories. For each one of our categories we match it up with the most appropriate category on the directory we are adding. This way when you select to submit to the category of the 100 options we give you it will submitted to the appropriate category for that directory. It takes us about 20-30 minutes to add a new directory but this give flawless category submission. Here is a MYSQL dump that I made if directory owners if they want to use our category format. It would make adding that directory so much faster. http://www.lazyseo.com/dumps/esyndicatv12.txt For instance we have a category for "Football". When you select that category for each different directory it submits to the category that we picked to be the most apporopriate. Now not all directories have the category for football as you can guess. Those submissions just wont get ignored it will go into sports or whatever we picked it to go in. Let me know if you have anymore questions.
I subscribe today and try the service and submit my first 2 sites... It's true it automatically submit sites to directories, but the only problem is that out of 256 directories I got 94 error message Error during submission (site may already be included in directory), all the sites I submitted are never submitted to any directory. But over all seems okey..
If you check out the support forums you will see the cause of those errors. They are not all actual errors. Some of those actually worked and was submitted. The errors are kind of misleading and I have been trying to get Katherine to fix that.
One of the things Google checks for is how fast backlinks have popped up for a particular site. This pretty much goes completely against that, does it not?
Without getting too into this because I am tired, the answer is theres no way it can hurt you. Out of 280ish directory submissions you may get 100 approvals. These approvals can happen anytime. Meaning you can get approved the day you submit or a month later. After that the page has to get indexed which can take months on some sites. This being said if you get 2 sites indexed with your link on it on the same day from doing directory submissions then you got lucky. More than likely you will never have 2 on the same day. Also you need a TON of backlinks popping up in order to trip the filter. TON = 1000's.
I appreciate the reply, however, when I signed up and used this program, it only submitted successfully to 46 out of the '280ish' directories.
Receiving 46 confirmation emails is not the same as submitting to to only 46 sites. Not every site sends emails.
I cant find the emails you are referring to. PM me the email address you signed up with and I can help you out. First try your email address as the login and the password you selected. If that dont work us the lost email function. If that still doesnt work then PM me your information. Its normally due to the payment not going through so you may want to check your paypal account too.
Just signed up for this, excellent tool. I recently spent $10 on 100 manual submissions this tool is worth 10X that amount and all for $19.95
