why Nofollow?

hello mates,
Please let me know is there any benefit for site to have nofollow behavior??
why all blogs dont have dofollow links??? wordpress by default have nofollow links.. why is that so?
any benefit to have nofollow attribute?

 

So that users don't spam on their blogs and post comments just to get backlinks.
And too many outbound links may also affect site seo.

 

1. To stop spam.
2. To put more value in other links...the fewer links a page has, the more valuable are

 

In my own experiences, nofollow attribute would not stop spam because even nofollow backlinks would help SERP. The only usage of nofollow for me is to keep the PR value on certain pages and not transfer PR to other pages or other sites.

NO Follow- They don't share link juices with you, ie there's no benifit in linking commenting on them
Do Follow- They share their PR with you thus comment/link to these kind of blog

you know people that use nofollow are very sef centered.. even they use to get backlinks with same methods in new days of blog.. its takes time to build valuable site so that people give backlink to you in case of if they copy something. otherwise many new blog are theft by others but they not even give credit back to them.. isnt that so?
