    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

How to prevent this...

Everyone says that as long as you respect the TOS you'll be just fine...

but what is someone copies the ad code from one of your sites and pastes it on a page which is against the TOS? (something from porn to telling visitors to click the ad...) just to harm your account...

    how can you prevent/detect that?

i emailed Adsense Help Center and they replied that if i detect such a page (with my code on it) they'll make sure my ads won't be displayed there...

at this moment there isn't a place (in the Adsense account) where you can list the sites where you want to display ads, that would easyly solve the problem...

shouldn't we suggest this to Adsense coders?

There are many ways to sabotage a fellow Adsense user, and most of those ways (99.999%) is thought up in their spare time by fellow webmasters trying to sabotage their fellow webmasters. Go figure.

no i didn't, but it's quite easy to do it and hard to prevent so i don't like it...

in your account all things might look perfect, but your account can get banned without you knowing why... and that's bad

But you never hear about anyone doing it because it takes time and effort and that person must REALLY hate your guts to go through that trouble. And if he does go through all that trouble just to sabotage your Adsense account, then who knows, you might deserve it. :)

    Suggest it...

I already suggested it before I had even signed upto adsense as a way to improve it and start to look at protecting publishers (also suggested that each site should be reviewed before being allowed to display adsense)

The thing Google should look at is quality over quantity, not just packing in volume - since advertisers are their main focus, they should think outside the box and realise that without quality publishers, advertisers will not have as much confidence in the content network.
