Loads of page impressions but no clicks.....

I have had google ad's on my site for about 4 days and have got 7,060 page impressions but no clicks at all...is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

It's rather annoying lol

 

That seems unusual...do you place it above the fold ? is that ad related to your niche ?

 

Some days are just like that it's like for that day the ads disappear lol

 

Have you verified visitors can see the adverts?

 

Also make sure you have properly copied the code they give you, I had a similar issue a year or so ago.

 

Yes everything is right, and people can see them perfectly fine.

I have placed 2 ad's one on the top and another further down the page so members have a good choice on what ones to click.

 

i'm also wondering since its also what i see in my adsense report too, i have 2K visits but no clicks, i usually get about 30 to 50 clicks but really i can't believe i didn't see earnings.

 

Amazing story. You should contact google to inquire further details because you have 7k impressions and no click????
Is this traffic real or fake??

 

where your visitors are coming from?
did you check your analytics report?
what is your bounce rate?

check to see if any traffic coming from search engines. also make sure your bounce rate is not too high. your stat doesn't make any sense. i can only think of proxy traffic or paid traffic that can produce such result. you didn't buy one of those so called "adsense safe" traffic package form someone, did you?

edit: oh, i got it. i just saw your sig, it must be the "quality traffic" thats giving you the impression but no click

 

Also there may be possibily fake hits, meaning some sites are putting your site in an iframe and display at their site. What type is your site?

 

You really never know. Some days you get many clicks, then several days with nothing. But you do seem to get a decent number of impression, kind of unusual that you don't get a least 1 click. Could depend on where they are coming from.

Firstly that sig isn't mine, somebody rented my sig space so that theory is a defo no go.

On your other questions though, I'm getting a mix of where the traffic is coming from....search engines, referring sites and direct traffic.

56.08% that's my bounce rate so I'm guessing that means good? I don't really understand analytics apart from showing how many hits I'm getting.

And no I don't buy crap like that lol it never works and I have better things to spend my money on

i have similar problem, clicks depends on user

 

I would say a click depends on the ad itself. If it is relevant to the user needs, clicks will happen..Therefore check your ads periodically to make sure if its closely related to what your content is driving at.Use the adsense filter tool to shut out non relevant ads.

 

maybe u just have 100 unique visitors and they just make a lot of impressions.
And i had 300 unique and no clicks, so u know...

 

You probably should check the adsense heat map from google.

 

I think people are so smart these days they know about google adsense so they hardly click on link themselves

 

This happen when the traffic is not that relevant to the site itself.

People won't click on something they are not interested to.
