Paypal is asking my PAN Number, Why???

    Folks,

    Before 2 days ago when i tried to logged in to my paypal account, instead directing me to my account page, they drive me to page where they ask me for 2 information from me. One i don't exactly remember, i guess it was my cell phone number however the second info they ask me was my PAN A/c number and i wondering why they need my PAN number. I use my Paypal very carefully and I have provided them all the info of my bank account and credit card. Infact my paypal is verified i can make payments and can receive payment. So why paypal need my PAN number.

    It's because of Reserve Bank of India regulations. You need to cite purpose and your PAN to show accountability for your incomes.

    Hummm .. They are hungry now so they wanted " BANARASI or CULCATI PAN " .. lol


    Paypal can trust on us but RBI can 't ...hehe
