I have submitted using DigiXMAS in the past and never had any "negative effects" from it. I think this whole story of unique IPs thing is no basis.
Have a look at this video http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3583760678227172395# So if you've got 3-5 sites thats aren't unique thats no problem, when you've got 10-20+ thats going to trigger off google spam alarms. If you've used software to submit to say 500 directories and 75% directories are all on the same ip, most likely they'll class all of your directory submission as spam. You may even be put into a sandbox and held there for a long time. So it can have a negative effect and you should be aware of it, especially for a new site. For me my site already had 5000+ backlinks so it can recover. However if you've got a relatively new site, it could actually do more harm than good.
Yes. It crashes or freezes my browser for 3-4 minutes. The owner of this dir should really do something about it.
We have thousands visitors every day and only you two have problems. Puzzling As a Webmaster, I can tell you that there is nothing in HTML code that have any potential to crash your browser. Just open Page Source and see for yourselves. fastreplies
No criticism was intended. I hope you didn't interpreted the comment that way. Just trying to help... I tried visiting your site using Safari on a Mac and it froze for several minutes. Now, keep in mind, I visit at least a hundred Websites a day. I also tried using a PC with same results. I just never experienced anything like it.
No offense was taken. Thanks for letting me know. You may check to see if you have programs in IFRAME enabled. That is all I can think about at this moment fastreplies
I've just finished my article about Directory Submission. Its 3 pages, so if anyone has time they can read it here... http://www.goarticles.com/cgi-bin/showa.cgi?C=2811671 or other version is here http://en.calameo.com/read/000264805255a4c37f6ee Its got some aff links, so better that I don't post the full one here. Yeah its quite funny because since I exposed the directories on same Ip, I've noticed some other threads, where a dp member called out another dp member for posting free directory lists with duplicate ip's. I had a chuckle when I read that post, looks like I've finally started something on the internet.
Er, no mate, we have been rabbling on about your new discovery for about the last 2 years, lol You're still convinced that you stumbled upon something aren't you? Lol
Maybe I've been under a rock for past two years, but I never noticed anyone bringing up this issue. Also I did dp searches and didn't find anything here. Perhaps I needed to look deeper.
Thats because our reasons for talking about it were completely different from yours. I wont be rude and state the obvious but you know why you started this thread dont you Good luck if you can feed them through from here and make a few sales but for people like me it stands out a mile.
I’m confused why you had to give him red. He was simply sharing his research on submission software and plugging his mass ip checker. Maybe you didn’t know that the directories were mostly on the same ip, maybe you could change them in the future? Thanks Brian
I am using GSA submitter (8000 directories - automatic submission) . PLEASE TEST IT AND LET ME KNOW .... THANKS
Just ran across this thread while looking for a tool of this nature... so notwithstanding the stated objections of some folks in this thread that I respect... I'm with the OP on this one. I always figured these lists we see are often sitting largely on the same IP, but didnt have any desire to hand run individual tests to prove it. I'm a huge fan of finding easier ways to do stuff. Kudos to the OP, hope your tool makes you some $$.
