[questions]removing date using plugin?

Tried the date-exclusion plugin on wordpress 2.9.2.
I know some of you will tell me to open some file and then edit some code so that I can manually remove the date. BUT, is there any plugin that could remove the date? If there is plugin that works, it will be pretty useful since I have so many blog in which I will just have to install the plugin.

    and then another question:
if I actually manually remove the date from wordpress blog, the next time I upgrade it, will I have to do it again?

    thanks

You need to edit your template.

    -single.php
    -index.php
    -archive.php

so basically there is no way I could get plugin other than changing the files myself manually?

also, if I change those files, will I get trouble when I upgrade wordpress? will I have to manually edit the files again after upgrade?

Your theme is located in folder "wp-content". This folder won't never change by WP upgrade.

No you won't have to re-edit the files. The themes aren't affected by upgrades. Also you might want to download the edited theme in case you want to use it again on another website.
