Im alright now. I still have some internal pains in my left shoulder, but other than that I'm fine. My passanger on the other hand was not wearing a seat belt... The disks in his back are all messed up. We got hit from behind by a big white truck with a grill gaurd. I saw him in my mirror when it was too late. I saw a flying object coming at us. I tried to go into the right hand lane, but it was already too late. He hit us. My wheels locked up and my car went towards the right side sidewalk. We popped the curb, flipped over, went through a tree, and a big brown powerline pole stopped us from going through the fence into a pool.
The worst part of this whole story is that the truck drove away! By the time the police got to the scene to bust us out of the car he was long gone. Police thought I was drunk until witnesses told them the story. So... If any DP members here in Houston, Tx have any idea of who this was, please notify me.
whoa, thats scary that cop thought you was drunk, that too when you were hit from behind. Anyways, I think apart from the injuries your settlement should be easy one - you were hit from behind and the truck ran away (hit and run case)
good grief, that is a serious munch. it's beyond me why people don't wear their seat belts. would you base jump without a parachute? double whammy on the guy not stopping though. was probably an escaped convict that didn't have insurance. hopefully they catch the b-word who did it and your injures heal ok and don't linger!!
