can you guys tell me please why some hostings won't allow me to post rapidshare links

    can you guys tell me please why some hosting won't allow me to post rapidshares/hotfile links? will it hurt their business?

    Because they don't like dealing with all the DMCA's.
    Look, if you do something shady, you're gonna have to live with the fact that you're gonna have issues doing it. Goes with the territory.

    Thanks. yeah its something shady.
    So even if the users are posting those links the hosting will still have to deal with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

    Absolutely! People are going to complain to the host, since it's physically "on their machines and in their networks". Any sound hosting comapny wouldn't particularly want to do that if they know you're shady to start with, or simply not allowing for example rapidshare links.

    Yes if there is people report about it.
    Mostly people will host this kind of site at offshore hosting.

    I believe you need to do the search for the such web hosting for such specific needs in the offshore zone. Perhaps there you will be able to find something
