if you want to decrease the bounce rate of the site, the first thing you have to do is to post some relevant content to your site. Make it interesting that the users stays in your web page for a longer period of time. The next step is to optimize the outbound links that are placed in your website, so that the users will not be distracted by the irrelevant links.
    Regards,

    "Content is the King"
Thats the one and only rule you have to follow. Give your visitors new and upto date information. Both visitor and search engine will love your site. :)

More content usually helps. Decreasing bounce rate is not always good if you have highly targeted pages that have good conversions for affiliate products.

Most pages are not "landing pages" in the usual sense of the term but... I suggest you do a little research on landing page design to learn what page elements tend to capture and focus visitor attention.

There are many factors that are responsible for the Bounce rate you can reduce by keeping following points in mind:

    1- Site Content
2- Landing page should be relevant.
3- user should be entertained or should get expected knowledge from the page.
    4- Attractive site page
5- User friendly site structure and color of the page.
6- Even very small things like text alignment, Use of Images, Interaction.

These are all the points that will definitely make your site sticky and user friendly hence, decreasing Bounce rate.

Put the content that is relevant to your keyword and write in fluent and easy language! Make the layout of your page a bit attractive visually so that your visitors find it attractive to stay on!
And avoid getting paid traffic or visitors from traffic exchange programs! They just help you inflate your traffic stats... but in the process, increase your bounce rate substantially! :(

The layout of the site must be very attractive. Professional look definitely attracts visitors to the site. Secondly give them what they require. Quality content having compelling headlines to force visitors to sit back and have a look at it. People appreciate good work and if done properly I think your bounce rate will decrease by itself.

Put stuff on the pages of your site that will not make people click straight out of the site. Simple.

Your Bounce Rate is how quickly people leave the site after getting there, so if you have a high Bounce Rate then when visitors land on your page it is not what they were expecting (eg, misleading ad) or they decide you have nothing of interest to them (eg, lots of ads with very little or no content related to what they were looking for)

To reduce you Bounce Rate write (or have written) some quality articles/posts which would interest the visitor & encourage them to continue reading & exploring your site & also make sure if using PPC for example, the ad is not misleading (which would also give you a low Quality Score & therefore a high price per click)

    Best of luck

    Steve

if you have relevant content and bounce rate is still low try putting a button or link or something interesting to click on that invites them deeper into your site.

I would love to see a URL, and then I can offer suggestions that will surely lower your bounce rate. But without seeing a URL, there is no way to tell you specifically how to reduce your sites bounce rate. Please provide the URL and I will help.
