Submit as many as you can to as many different directories as you can I have some articles with well over a thousand views and growing article marketing is DEFINITELY the best way to drive free traffic Just remember one thing VOLUME VOLUME VOLUME The more articles you have out there the better your chances of grabbing traffic are Don't stop with ten Don't even stop with a hundred Just keep pumping them out
Outsourcing social media to drive traffic is on my side as I've been working on the same path in the traffic building process. It does take a lot of time to be able to generate your first hundreds and evaluate the results to look through improvements. Also, there's always a need to setup Google Analytics to every new website to straightaway split test traffic on a regular or weekly basis.

I own a traffic exchange, a text ad exchange, credit based safelists and a ptc. I still believe the best form of free traffic is organic search traffic. I achieve this by getting on the first page of Google for targeted keywords. I use extensive link building to get there that includes: article marketing, social bookmarking, do follow blog commenting, blog reviews, forum posting and many other methods. I didn't say it was easy, but it works.
A lot of quick fix solutions here but those are not the right way to do it. You can submit low quality articles all you want, it's still junk and you will be seen as a spammer.

Ezine articles is by far the best but very strict on their submissions. Go Articles submissions process is easier but they don't rank as high and the articles take longer to get indexed. With a video camera and some ballz, you could really get free traffic quickly using viral marketing techniques and submitting to YouTube, FB, and Twitter all at no cost.
Just use good 'ol SEO. It's a lot of work, but in the end all the free traffic will make it worth it!
