9-10k visitors = $80-100. Is it normal?

Created this blog 4 months ago, 8-10k visitor aday and earns $80 aday, could be more in weekend. Niche site =celebrity entertainment.

I wonder if $80-100 is the highest earning i can get? or it can be increased? Im also using Amazon and Ticket's affiliates which gives me another $100 amonth. I dont wanna be greedy, I used to say to myself; Im not asking too much, 10-20$ aday is enough for me. But now... It's like i wanting more, more, and more.

 

$80 a day is great for your site. There can be always more done with a site, such as exploring new ad programs and new affiliate sites. Keep doing what you have been doing to get more and more visitors. Also, if one site is making you that much, why not open up another one and apply the same method?

 

yes, but its also time consuming, I believe that i have to stop at some point, cos I have school too. The blogging thing has took over my life, and brings down my school grade.

there is no average, its hard to say without looking at what you have already to work with.

celebrity entertainment = crappy $$$

real estate, ringtones, web hosting, poker, pills, money = decent $$$

 

You should be earning more from that number of traffic. We are talking about 9k - 10k traffic here, that's not a joke

 

Looking at your niche and your earning, I would saying this. You should consider yourself a lucky one. Your earning are above the average line for many peoples in the same niche. Entertainment niche is a well known for low paying industry.

Here is some tips

1. Filter your displaying ads - Some advertisers do redirect people to his MFA sites. Most of advertisers in this type are intend to pay as lowest as possible per click.

2. Adjust Web Layout - This is a purpose for higher CTR. More CTR = More chance for earning more per click

 

Well seriously come on..


2400$ a month for few hours of work isn't gonna bring down your grades

 

celebrity entertainment is often a low ecpm niche. if you can hit 80$ with 10k visitors, it is VERY VERY GOOD.

 

I would say it's really good considered it's only 4 month old.

 

$80 a day for that many visitors seems a lot to me. Most sites would make a fraction of that for the traffic level.

 

Getting $80/daily on a celebrity niche is pure luck. You should be happy with that.

 

As a rule of thumb I look for £5 ( $7.50 ) for every 1,000 visits I get so your figures are about what I would expect.

Your earnings are pretty decent, but you could try monetizing it more by running relevant CPA banners on your site. Since you're dealing with celebrity news, there are LOTS of CPA offers you can use on your site that'd be attractive to visitors. The key here is to test. Another thing you could do is sell ad/banner space privately to advertisers. Have you tried any of the above that I mentioned?

 

its not a normal, my friend have 1k cele site and he earn 1000$ a month

 

Going to school and simultaneously getting so much traffic and earning decent amount of money, you are already doing good

However if you really want to earn more, obviously you will have to give more time for the work. As the number of visitors you are getting is tremendous, but you need try and increase your monthly income too. I agree that the niche you are dealing is a common niche and has lots and lots of competition involved. But still if you put in more time and hard work, I guess you can afford to give party to your school friends every weekends
