That isn't actually true! As far as I'm concerned I write extremely good poetry - why? The only poems I ever write are directly linked to a life based event that annoys me, makes me happy, confuses me etc etc - there is always a real life emotion attached. My problem? I don't know how to get the most out of it. I've wrote a few poems, but the only ones I have sold are on order basis ("Please write a poem about "X" "), and that is where my weakness shows. Is there anywhere I can sell my work without doing it on a per order basis? If anyone is willing to help, I can offer samples and possibly give them rights to one of my pieces if they show me down the right path. I'd also like to hear of people that have struggled or had success in the industry Thanks Grant
Why don't start your own marketplace? You can actually offer your work customizing an e-commerce script of adding Paypal buttons to your works, just use a document image, just an idea though.
If you browse back this forum you'ill find questions and advice on writing style, writing marketing, content writing suggestions, plagiarism, etc. Main topic is copywriting but general writing-oriented questions don't hurt.
