It has just occurred to me that all my lengthy privacy policy page share about 99% content with my other websites and include about 1200 words. Given that I have a number of website plus my mentor provided me with his privacy policy so there probably hundreds of pages like this on internet. Do you have any views on how google will treat this in relation to duplicate content?
Doesn't really matter if you privacy pollicy is copied, as that is not your main content. If you have interesting unique articles, then you are fine.
There is a lot of misinformation on how google deals with duplicate content. It deals with it using filters, you don't need to be concerned with your site being penalized.
I agree.. Privacy policy is not the main content of your site, so google won't consider it as duplicate content.
It may be the duplicated but not a big deal from Google perspective. This kind of page has been discussed about duplication before but the conclusion was a no negative impact on your website if overall contents are unique and not 100% exact in each and every content pages under your website compare to other ones.
Dont worry about that single page. Your site won't be harmed because of that one duplicate page. Just ensure other pages have unique content.
Almost every site on the web has a similar privacy policy. I wouldn't worry about it being treated as duplicate content. I think Google is intelligent enough to figure that out.
There is no penalty 'Duplicate Content Penalty' so you can continue to submit your articles to any article submission sites and the other 500 to which I submit mine by means of syndication and direct submissions or you can use 301 redirects in your .htaccess file to redirect users, googlebot and also other spiders.
