After my sales increased due to my effort though twitter I set up a face book account, I kept hearing about how people are using it and thought it would do the same for me as twitter. Hoover I do not see how face book will help me even with links to my site because there is no way to do a keyword search for like minded people. How do you get friends on facebook that are in you target?. The only way to search for new friends is by name or email address so how to you get people to keep up with what is on you wall if you facebook is to generate traffic to you site that will result in sales.
I used it for my golf website. I just went to groups and started adding people who had to do with golf.
Use a fan page. Only fan pages are for businesses, great tools, targeting options for ads. Using friends isn't such a good idea, prone to get you banned if you send unwanted stuff in the feed and mass-add people.
I agree .... Use a fan page, or go to other fan pages of your niche, and add its members as your friends, perhaps !
