My Page went from unranked to PR 0 on the update -- my site is about 2 months old, but i've done a decent amount of SEO optimization and backlink building.. I was hoping to receive a PR of at least 1.. Is the PR update completely finished or should i hold out hope for a couple more days? Is it possible that the PR 0 is a placeholder until the calculation is finished? *crossing my fingers*
Actually Google is shooting for daily updates if they're not already doing it. My sites have been on a roller coaster for the past few days.
Additional Info I forgot to include in initial post.. My SERP results for my target keywords "wood urn" and "wood urns" is pretty good.. I'm on the middle of the 2nd page of google as of right now.. I vary between 11 and 19 daily.. and on "custom wood urns" i'm currently SERP 8 (page 1) I figured doing this decently on the SERPs i would do better on the PR results...
Over the past few years I've seen *some* websites PR change within a week or so of the initial PR change.
Well I have the same problem. The site I am talking about is over 6 mnths old and I have gained a lot of backlinks and done a lot of work on it. But still I haven't gained a pr at all! (should have been at least pr1) Now I live in the netherlands so I am secretly hoping that that is the problem.
I did notice that yesterday only 2 pages of mine were ranked 0/10, the rest were not ranked.. Today 4 of them are 0/10... maybe i'll at least get a 1/10 when all is said and done.
My new site, registered 2/25/2010, went from n/a to pR2 over the weekend, and my traffic bumped up about 20%
Don't sweat the little green bar in your toolbar. It's an arbitrary number that has little to do with SERPs.
Don't worry, if you keep building backlinks and add quality content, you'll get higher PR at the next update. Maybe a 2 months old site is too young for Google to increase its PR.
Then you made an awsome job! But it's possible, that if your site is older than the previous PR update, you would have got a higher page rank.
