sounds like something I could use. :D

    kidding.

you could use a better domain though. the domain is a little too long. "say no to porn" seems like a better way to brand yourself, and it would also make it easier for your affiliates to write reviews and content related to your product. it is also VERY memorable, and it sticks. the .net and .org are available, no website on the .com, it's just parked. i'd say go for it. :) i mean, you've got it in your header, might aswell have a domain to match, right? I can see you probably registered that domain to try and rank for pornography addiction related terms, but you can let your affiliates do that hard work for you. and in the meantime, while you're still building your army of affiliates, you could write articles of your own targeting those phrases and linking to your "say no to porn" site.

seems like a great niche though man, props. :)

Seems like a good product. I have to agree with Skribblez though about the domain name being a little too long. When you're trying to brand yourself, going with a short and memorable domain name will work out much better for you in the long run. Plus, yeah its easier for affiliates to talk about it.

    Good luck though.

You banners are confusing - - - I would assume your banners should say something like, Stop looking for porn, cure your addiction. or Stop your Pro n addiction, not looking for porn to master?

I think you need to add a bit more drama to your sales page, as it is - well, it's boring. You need to bring the emotion to the surface, maybe by adding semi-explicit pictures to the mix?
The greys and italic fonts don't work.

Other than that - great idea!

I made a some sales from my own product without much self-promotion, so this should be a good niche.

Just search for "detach" in the addiction category on CB and you'll see my product.

But almost $70??? I thought my price point at $24.95 was already pricey (though based on test reviews people do really enjoy the work and research in my produt).

Only issue I have with your product is that its a lie :D theres no scientific or psycoligical finding that porn addiction even exists... unless your now the gov body responsible for identifying what is classed as an addiction? But hey if it sells lie your pants off right? (part from it being against the consumer rights from unfair practices act 2008) :D

Porn addiction does exist so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Whether they classify it as "scientific" or not is beside the point. A lot of people are addicted to watching/looking at porn so he's not lying at all.

There are a number of people who argue that pornography is a matter of personal choice and there is no harmful affect because of it. There is a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that regulates the distribution and use of materials that are deemed offensive in nature sexually. The idea that pornography is a matter of personal choice is countered by the argument that excessive use of pornography is liable to become an addiction, which will result in the loss of self control or choice.

If you google it and look at reputable sites, not the naff forum sites or sites that are run by christian purists, youll find that phychologists reject the theory that porn addiction exists as a true illness. But, i guess you can say that if porn addiction was classed as a 'real' addiction then in the UK people could claim under it for sick and disability so it probably will never be accepted. However, if we talk about the addiction in a social stand point, that being a inability to stop or watching more porn then is socially acceptable then okay you may be able to call it a porn addiction.

The fact is you need to use the wording carefully and not jump out and say "porn addiction is a real disease! And you might have it", because technically it's not and by saying that it is you are misleading the reader in to; a, thinking they have something thats not proven and then B, persuading them into buying a product that carnt do what it says because the thing it says it can cure does not technically exist. If you understand what I mean.

For example: I say that theres an invisible bug called asef11 and it can kill you with no cure and then say but buy the asef11 ebook and find out how to stop it... its bs and illegal at least in the EU...

So again to clarify - not accepted by enough phychologists to be accepted as real, gov doesnt accept it because of this.
Under society rules you can class something as an addiction
For legal reasons do not go over the top about how serious it is. so rather than sex addiction is real and you might have it!, you'll want something more like "powerless to porn?". Hopefully I have clarrified my point here...
(more a warning to affil's then you)

    ONE MORE THING

You say your product was launched 2 days ago but you have comments dating back to the 17th of january...site was created on 03-mar-2010 = http://www.wmtips.com/tools/info/?url=http://www.recoveryfrompornographyaddiction.com/&src=ff&v=1.2

Again legal issues with fake tesimonies :p I only point it out because you state a date when it was released. But im sure you pre released the product at the start of the year and moved the site to the new URL right? :p

p.s - any chance you'll throw up come articles to spin and keywords?

The book was written before new years and it took a while to set up the website, edit it... - who says the testimonials can't be written and given to us by people who we asked to evaluat the book before its official launch date?

Do people addicted to porn recognize themselves as they are? I wasn't quite sure if the headline and opening copy addresses right group of people. I mean to say, "Believe it or not, you have a problem and here is the solution" isn't as strong as "I have a solution for your problem". If I were to promote your product, I would be confused who to target to.
