Why my PR4 changed to PR3?

My two websites have 1,000 backlinks and PR4 ranks before the google updated this month....

Now they are PR3.... but the backlinks are more than 1,500.... Could you please tell me why...

It depends on the quality of links you have. May be you have a lot of FFA links ( free for all ) which it is bad for your page rank

1000 PR1 links are better than 1500 PR0 links. I guess this is the reason.
Also, the PageRank tends to decrease with time as more and more sites appear on the web.

It's may many reason you probably gain some link quantity but may you lost some quality high pr link. Don't worry it’s Google dance and it’s natural it's happened to everyone

In my own experiences, if you want to keep your PR on above 4, quantity and quality of your backlinks are both important. Generally speaking, you need about 10,000 backlinks for a PR of 4. Of course, keeping your page contents fresh are also helpful. :)

    Have a nice day,

Maybe google tweaked something in its algorithm? Who knows. I wouldn't worry unless you don't get your rank back. See if this changes next month. Someone told me not to pay attention to short-term changes from google.

You have 1,500+ Back links but had you ever check that how many of them are quality Links?

The major factor to increase Google pagerank is backlinks. These are incoming links from one persons website to your website. Google see’s these links and thinks that your site must have good content on, and that site thinks your site has something good enough to link to. So building backlinks will increase pagerank...
The best technique to increase pagerank is to acquire good back links.

Sounds like you may have lost some good PR backlinks. Have you ever taken a PR backlink inventory? That is knowing where you highest PR backlinks are?

Regardless PR is way overated unless site flipping or selling domains.

Have you lost any rankings with Keywords? That would be my concern!
