Get backlinks to them! Social bookmark every article you write for starters.

I find it helps to respin the article and use them on other article directories with a link to your blog and another to the article on EZA (or one of the better directories).

You may consider these simple ways :)

    1. Target low competitive keywords that relevance to your site. Use them in title of your articles.
    2. Or you may submit that article to Ezinearticles.com instead of posting on your own site. It would have a much more chance for being listed first page in Google.

I have found that submitting your author RSS feed to as many RSS directories as possible definately seems to help.

I did this with an ezinearticle which initially wasn't in the top 100 search results. When I submitted the RSS feed, the article went into the top 10. This could have been the Google dance, but doing this got results.

Not many people realize it but other article directories (such as goarticles) also have an author RSS feed too.

    Regards

    Francis

    What Frankstar said.

Make sure you have the right, and not too many keywords in the article.

Find high-ranking sites that are similiar to your articles. Then see if they have a "friends," links page. Like this one http://www.davesdaily.com/coollinks.htm

Then submit your link to their page.

    Then just give it time.

    That's it.

A lot of article sites offer premium or paid memberships, which give your articles preference. Maybe that's something you'd want to consider.

I prefer to use keywords and fit them into the article bum marketing style then build some links to it. Social book marks etc
