Fair or Not? Mod Madness

    Hello,

    I've posted a thread in a wrong category. A fellow member told me to ask a mod to move it to the right place.. I clicked the (report post) icon, and reported my own thread with a note to move to the correct place.. guess what happened?

    I received a 90 days infraction :| some mod is so happy that he has the ban button.. but no common sense of using it.

    Well, i think this is not fair. and i require my infraction to be removed, or membership cancelled for good until reasonable mods start reading with sense.

    good times

    I started to read your issue, but then after I read the whole thing, I decided that you weren't worth my time.

    Asserting yourself and your opinions about moderators isn't going to earn you any respect here. And please don't start threads complaining about infractions. It's posted quite clearly in this forum.

    Well your infraction isn't going to be removed, because it's valid. The thread you started WAS in the wrong place. If you want to "cancel" your membership, it's as easy as not using the site. {shrug}

    I think you staffers like the attention..

    Else I would have put a sticky saying "IF YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT INFRACTIONS HERE, YOU WILL GET ANOTHER! PM A MOD INSTEAD!" that I may have tweaked over time for better wording.. :)

    DigitalPoint forums are a free service, which you willingly accepted to use.

    You understand, it is not your right for webmasters to work, it is your freedom and liberty.

    That is why, when you visit a website, you must agree to their Terms of Service, Rules, and/or other policies they carry.

    They are not forced to abide to you, except by law, and you have posted everything here, publicly, willingly, and fairly anonymously too actually, and so they are not infringing on any of your rights, by allowing you to maintain your account here at no cost.

    I meant in the title, as those infuriated to such an amount are likely to not take the time to read all of the stickies before just ramboing in from the home page, straight to the 'new topic' button.

    Actually there are some still grey area of the rules.

    MOD should not give infraction if the thread starter reported their own thread for wrong doing.

    Else

    MOD can give infraction to those did not realize that they open thread at wrong section.
