is it ok to get backlink from topsy.com

recently this website Topsy linking all my blog posts, is it ok to have this site for backlink?

I also get linked from sites that is not related to the content of my posts, like link teeth whiting sites, construction sites, etc. should i remove their links, including topsy because it is filter as spam?

any expert here to comment?

 

i guess so. and i mean its alright to me. they've been pinging my blogpost too but eversince I've installed askimet, they were filtered.

 

being filtered as spam does make me wonder if these sites are legitimate or blacklisted.

most backlinks pointing to my blog are from relevant sites, but i also get link from irrelevant sites, just like i'm doing in DP..

always focus to get more links from relevant sites..

 

I dont think you need to worry about links pointing to your websites. What you need to worry about is links from your websites pointing to bad neighborhood.

 

I think there is no problem in getting backlinks from topsy.com, How can you say whether the site is spam? I think it is a good search engine. So there is no problem.

 

in my wordpress, topsy.com showhow end up in my spam folder. that why i raise my concern.

i think that is what i m seeking guidance about. in wordpress trackback, when I get a trackback from another site linking to my article, and i approve it. does that means i am also pointing to the site that link me? if it is, then i should check the site first before approving it?

 

If your trackback is nofollow,It is okay.

I think topsy.com is going over the top by sending trackbacks to 'almost every post'. I will block them.

It's ok to get links from unrelevant sites. The more links the better.
