Hi, Can I check with the experts at DP, is it better to backlink all my articles individually, or backlink to my profile page? Since my profile page will have links to all my articles, is it wiser to do backlinking this way? Thanks
your profile page will probably have an rss feed (some article sites offer this) that you can submit to some feed aggregators like: http://www.feedage.com http://www.feedagg.com http://www.feedest.com There are a bunch of other good ones, but I personally like the first two in that list best. You could also try submitting your profile page to: http://www.pingler.com Submitting your profile page to the sites above should help get more attention to new articles you submit. For your articles, you could try social bookmarking, commenting on blogs, forums, etc. I've noticed that articles respond better and faster to social bookmarking compared to submitting your own site. Having a mind block right now, not sure where else you can submit your articles to, but that's what I would do with them for the most part.
Thks for your help! So does RSS really help? I only use Onlywire for my articles, is that good enough? Thanks
Always backlink to each individual article. It will boost your articles up in ranking. OnlyWire is a great tool but also make use of submitting your article to multiple directories to build up backlinks to the original. As mentioned above you can also make use of blog commenting, forum posts, creating Web 2.0 props such as Hubpages and Squidoo lenses pointing at your article. There are endless ways. And you should strive to make use of as many as you can to get enough link juice to dominate the keywords you're aiming for.
