In my own opinion, anything could happen on the Internet. I think on the searching market, it is still the biggest one but on other fields, it has been surpassed by others. :)

    Thanks,

Bing is already in partnership with Yahoo. Google is far ahead of all these search engines.. So :p

Google is very strong and will take something special to dislodge, but there are always new things coming along - what if China launches a competitior they have massive resources, or someone just invents a new idea - you never now, but for the moment Google rules.

China wouldn't allow porn in their search engines or freedom of speech. A China SE would be useless. Facebook is the one who will knock Google off their pedestal and it appears it will be sooner than later. They have surpassed recently Google on traffic I think it was and are building a datacenter in Oregon and planning to open others in other states. Also, they are hiring and already have, Google employees already. Big G is scared and they should be. Google is very abusive and needs a strong competitor.

Regarding Facebook users being there wasting their time, writing on the wall, what matters is humans visiting Facebook, having them there. That's what counts. They have the traffic. All it takes is a good search engine from Facebook and Google is history. The viral aspect of that social network alone would be devastating to Google.

If you pant a tree properly it will continue to grow as the roots are properly placed. Think about it. Even though Microsoft has lost business what are we all using? For the most part windows which Bill Gates brought to the www . You might use a different browser but you are still using windows. Also how about Intel? The code everyone runs on. Comparing Facebook to Google is just Silly. It will be a long time before Google is upset as the best search engine if ever. The internet will have to change dramatically. With the use of apps that is happening but Google has embraced that also.

You never know; this day and age I believe the bigger you are the harder you fall, but you know we are going to find out really soon....... I personally do not use Bing just because the commercial is so aggrivating.......

No. Plain and simple... Hardly any body uses Bing. I have about 35 sites, rankings are the same on Google and Bing and I get next to no traffic from Bing. People just don't really use it. Ya it's new and looks nice but nobody will ever take Googles place. Too many people are use to using it and won't change. Just my opinion...

If Bing can provide better search results. But at the moment Bin's search results are way behind Google's search results.

You can't compare Google to Facebook as they have different business models; however, Facebook has the dough/backing to build a search engine like Google. I'd cut my right arm that's what mark will be doing next. He hates Google's guts and the guy is very ambitious. Google is scared with the latest Facebook traffic news; read the whining already at Webpronews.

Facebook already get more traffic than Google so they have the users. All they need is a good search engine and Google will be another Altavista with Altawords and Altasense. I don't think it will take Facebook to knock them off. They are doing it themselves. Search results are getting crappier and crappier and good sites are being dropped from the serps. Now Google is turning into a "Breaking News" (real time) site not a search engine anymore. I think Google's health benefits are about to expire if you ask me. Apple might get in the game.

I'm actually glad that Bing came along. Competition is good for business. It remains to be seen what effects will this have on the services offered by the two search engines.

Google have already become so big and powerful so it's unlikely that Bing with catch them anytime soon. But who knows the future. For now I'm happy with Google.
