Ways of Sending Money out of India

    Hi,
I'm an Indian user, and often need to make transactions worldwide which is mostly done using Paypal or other processors. I wish to know what are the alternatives for sending money out of India, say to US, Nepal Or Canada.

    What i tried was :

Western Union : Dosen't support sending money out of India, I tried calling them.

Bank : ICICI and SBI, dosen't allow you to transfer money using SWIFT facility. I guess DD and Check sending manually is a way, But it needs documents and takes quite much time.

Paypal : Paypal dosen't allow us to upload funds from bank or Debit card and send it online.

Xoom : Dosen't support sending money out of India.

I've found that most money transfer agents or processors are not allowing us to send money out of india including Banks. Neither ICICI Nor SBI allows us to use the SWIFT Code facility nor bank deposit without documents or whatsoever.

I wish to know is there anyone who has a proper solution for sending money out of India other than using an online payment processor such as Paypal?

    Thanks.

You can send money abroad only by below giving methods.

    - Cheque
    - WIRE

None of the money transfer companies like Western Union/MoneyGram will let you send money abroad.

Cheque is a long way process, which has to be sent manually by post or courier.

wire is not allowed by banks. I've asked.

It is really tough to send money to outside of India from here.
    You can use following thing:
    1. ask receiver to open PayPal account and create a buy now button for you.
    2. you click on that buy now button and pay him using your Indian Credit card(No need to open PayPal account)
    3. Once you pay him, he can withdraw funds to his Bank account.

Other than this, I've sent money once to US from Western Union office in my city. Western Union official doesn't offer to send money from India but if you go to their office and ask them, they may help you. I've done the same thing and they have told that they can do it privately. They have a kind of collob with US bank and they can do wire from here. I don't know how they did but they did it. I'm not sure but this thing may not be available at agent location.

Visit any branch of AXIS BANK having forex services enabled. They will assist you in sending WIRE (Typographical Transfer).

BTW to which country you want to send money to?

Why not get a credit card and use the Paypal route instead?
After all, if you have been a regular customer at any bank like HDFC, they will provide you a credit card... free of cost! :)

Creditcard is a good way, but not proper way since,

    - Credit cards have a credit limit
    - Credit card will eat up huge rates/fees
