Does this count as posting "new content"?

I'm using the WordPress plugin that posts new posts from an RSS feed. So my website is Gaming based, if I use an RSS feed of another gaming site, and when they update their RSS, and then the plugin auto-posts it, does it count as new content? So I don't have to update as often to keep my PR.

Yes it has been counted. However, since you have posted a new content as feed from other site RSS then it usually has a link back to original sources. Your site would be given a little score but original site would give the most. :) I would recommend you go and build your own unique content instead of publising other people feeds.

Haha, thank you very much for your input. Though, what's your take on getting their article/post and rewording it to the most I can?

Agree. Many people using this tactics are getting traffic. So it means that it is ok from SEO point of view.

It would be counted as duplicate content if you get posts off a different site's rss..

Yeah the search engines are likely to spot what you're doing... especially if each post links back to the same website.

It's better than nothing at all, but the best content is stuff that you write yourself!

Maybe you can. But why waste time rewriting an article than writing your own?
Both takes the same time but the latter one excludes risk of getting caught.
