How does Google look on links to articles?

    Hi,

I was wondering, how does Google look on links which leads to articles.. maybe if there are many links on many different articles of your site, google will permanent dig your site on first page, as they (bot) will realise that on that site, there are only very good articles.

What do you think about that theory, anyone tried it before?

    Thanks.

Just link to the articles from social bookmarking. I think if you link to your own articles from your site it would be considered a link exchange. Don't you think?

Linking is good... especially if you write a great article that gets lots of links.

Google looks at links to articles the same way Google looks at links to anything else.

I think it's best to keep YOUR articles on YOUR site.

Linking to articles from social bookmarking sites often gives them a boost in ranking. I would probably not link to the articles from my sites.

Not social bookmarkings, and I'm not looking to boost only one article but the whole site by more links on more articles, is that possible?

I did this with my site, and still do it. I have an article site and I used it to make my other site (forum) more powerful, it works both ways (PR get better in the main site and the forum)

Question seems a little confusing. Are you talking about linking one article on your site to a separate article on your site? If this is the case I say go for it. The internal linking love will be worth the effort.

If on the other hand you mean linking from an article on your site to another article say, on an article directory, I see no value in this. That article you link to is probably linking to your site (why would you want to link to it otherwise unless its some type of authority article) and the reciprocity of the links would devalue the link to your site altogether.

    Still confused by the question...

not only does google like it but if the article sites you use have a substantial print in the search engines already you will get visitors clicking through to your site. at least i do do anyways. like EzineArticles.com i also use article sites found on a list i found on at FreeArticleSubmission.org bec i can see the PR of each.

Links to articles are awesome especially if the article itself is a PR1,2 or 3 (never seen higher but I'm sure it can happen)

Yes its absolutely possible. Try to get a unique and common anchor text as your keyword and use it while you ask for link exchanges or backlinks on other sites.
