Hi I would try adding yahoos equivalent of a sitemap
and get your site verified https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit
you could also submit to yahoos directory but that costs big bucks with no
promise of getting your sites pages in the index then just get some links out to pages in your site other than the home page

You can sleep with one of the engineers, that usally does the trick. They are kind of smelly, but you will get used to it:rolleyes:.

You can't get in Yahoo fast, you'll appear onthe SERPS after 2 - 3 weeks of your website launching, then you'll disappear (this is the moment to do not stress), and if everything goes right you will re-appear after 4 - 6 months for good.
It happened that way for one of my site,

Also you might appear in the SERPS in the period after 3 weeks and stay in the ranking for the keywords you target.

If you don't appear at all, use other keywords. 3 keyphrases keywords (e.g: google loves rabbits) usually works well for new sites.

Create a yahoo sitemap, then submit it to yahoo.

Do you guys think that Yahoo will be accepting Canadian residents at some point in time? Has there been any speculation on this?

do all the seo stuff first. I think yahoo really likes domain names and the length that they have been on the web.

Because yahoo and google algo is not the same, you may rank well in google but not in yahoo

I have a 2 months old site Ask Directory with 60 pages on yahoo index, indexed almost 2 weeks after released, the 2 things I did, is puted yahoo link on homepage and internal page (I have taken the homepage link now), and bookmarked the site at del.icio.us I have now a listing at yahoo directory but only 2 days old, so that was not the trigger.
    Hope it helped.
