Hello Sir/Ma'm Thanks for your interest. Myself Adwaitk007 and i am from India. I have PR1 sports blog addressed www. sportsstatsblog. com Here is the screenshot: I need your valuable review and your suggestions as considering in SEO point of view. Please let me know; 1.What I have to do to get good PR 2.What I have to do to get good traffic. 3.Any other suggestion are most welcome! Waiting for your reviews and suggestions! Thanks a lot; regards Adwaitk007
Hi Adwaitk007, My suggestion is, first of all, you should do very much in-page optimization, start with meta keyword (your current keywords are almost impossible to be optimized for SERP), and then meta title and meta description. After that, you should built a Good backlink, like from another sport's blog or something that have similar content to you. My suggestion is to find a SEO expert to do this for you. For Traffic, have you tried to advertise the site in social network sites like twitter and facebook? That will help because all people know, there are a tons of sports fan out there, and they are greed for information.
Well to be honest I don't know anything about SEO. Do you know how to choose perfect keyword??? I am getting confused within it!
A good keyword is a keyword that is NOT massly being used by thousands of site and have a good search amount in it (Google Keyword External Tools will be your best friend for this). But there are a lot of aspects should be calculated as well, like domain name, the SERP competition, keyword density and etc. I do really, really suggest you to find an expert for this, because you already have a good (PR-ed) site, it should be optimized (and monetized) in the right way! If you're just make a wrong change in the site, it will have a bad effect (instead of good) and will take down the site's rank into a deeper hole. The worst case is, you will even lose your PageRank.
Submit Your site links wherever you think suits best and is relevant according to the website, Another is, Ask other website owners holding sites similar to urs for the back links.
That is one way to build links, but that approach will take an exuberant amount of time to get the amount of links needed
I'm sorry to break this to you, but emailing people requests to exchange links is not the best way of building links out there.
What you just said, clearly represents that what are your techniques of working and getting links, to get high quality links every newbie has to do any possible thing that is required for getting high quality and relevant links and mailing the person is the best way to get the most relevant back links with highest authorities rather spamming other sites with your links so you can get the backlinks, this is what most SEO's now days do, I won't be surprised if you find yourself as one of'em. And I call "this" as Smart work don't know what you call it, and even smart work takes time.
I would have to disagree. I get those emails all the time and don't even bother replying to them. And why do you keep calling me a newbie, when you yourself have only been here for a month?
May Be you don't want that links, or may be they were just a spam, but people who sincerely do exchange their links with the relevant partners mostly choose the way of email's. Don't go on the dates of my account creation, I have almost 50 accounts on this forum in which half are premium this is client based accounts so just a month older.

Here is why I say that link exchange techniques are not the most beneficial. This is from Google Webmaster Central: "Your site's ranking in Google search results is partly based on analysis of those sites that link to you. The quantity, quality, and relevance of links count towards your rating. The sites that link to you can provide context about the subject matter of your site, and can indicate its quality and popularity. However, some webmasters engage in link exchange schemes and build partner pages exclusively for the sake of cross-linking, disregarding the quality of the links, the sources, and the long-term impact it will have on their sites. This is in violation of Google's webmaster guidelines and can negatively impact your site's ranking in search results. Examples of link schemes can include: Links intended to manipulate PageRank Links to web spammers or bad neighborhoods on the web Excessive reciprocal links or excessive link exchanging ("Link to me and I'll link to you.") Buying or selling links that pass PageRank The best way to get other sites to create relevant links to yours is to create unique, relevant content that can quickly gain popularity in the Internet community. The more useful content you have, the greater the chances someone else will find that content valuable to their readers and link to it. Before making any single decision, you should ask yourself the question: Is this going to be beneficial for my page's visitors? It is not only the number of links you have pointing to your site that matters, but also the quality and relevance of those links. Creating good content pays off: Links are usually editorial votes given by choice, and the buzzing blogger community can be an excellent place to generate interest."
i think to increase your traffic blog, you must make many posts. it's really work for my site. to have good PR you must find dofollow blog and place link of your blog in there. the important think of search engine is you must optimize your keyword in search enging,PR is not required
Few things that you need to do : 1. Optimize your blog/site - for WP blog, use proper permalinks, title, desc. 2. Do keyword research (or outsource it) to find the best keyword which you should aim for. 3. Based on your keyword, create category. You will use the category when posting article. 4. Create article around the keyword you've chosen. Beware of your keyword density and over repeat it as it will raise red flag to SE. 5. Post the article you've written to article directories or other blogs. This will help to increase backlinks and traffic (will helpyou gain PageRank in long term)
