I used to use name.com when prices were $5.99 and $6+, but eventually they rose their prices too much so I'm slowly transferring all my domains to godaddy for $6.99 each. :p

    hi, everyone.
Frankly speaking, i have seen threads of this kind many times on DP, but good.

IMO, both of them have their own feature, which you will choose for the better registrar depends on your demands, your feelings, as sometimes, your choice tendency will be affected by external factor.

Hope all of us can make profit from our own final decision.

    Regards!

godaddy is better imo unlike name which eventually make their registration [renew]costly than godaddy

    I'd say none of them
Their prices are too high and/or you have to waste your time by searching for coupon codes...

I find that domain name prices really are cheap at namecheap. Right now they give you a free year of whoisguard protection and comodo positiveSSL certificate along with your domain registration or transfer.

I am a GoDaddy reseller and have set the prices at wholesale levels plus added special deals. So it is the best of both worlds: reliability and support of Godaddy with even better deals than Godaddy offers.
Please check it out at: http://www.HotNamesUSA.com

That said, I still go with Hostgator for hosting to get the cPanel interface.

If you want to save money go with GoDaddy and one of their latest $1 domain coupons, otherwise name would be your better choice.

Id go with hostgator personally. Godaddy has alot of mumbo jumbo interface stuff plus im tired of looking at danica patrick. Hostgator has a better cpanel.

Hostgator is webhosting, I dont think it has domain panel. Do NOT register domains through hosting sites, you will have problems in pushing and transferring them. Also buying a domain at hostgator, costs as buying to domains at a domain registrar.

I suppose you need to take that easy and register one domain name through one domain name registrar and another domain name through another domain name registrar.
