    yahoo gives many APIs for its lot od products, which API you need to use. Also they are well documented and easy to use.

    Since you have not mentioned exactly which Yahoo API, I have only come across one area of yahoo api which I needed use for that is yahoo site explorer api. I tried using it, but didnt complete the project, but the api looked pretty comprehensive and well-formed. It was completely in xml format - input, output, etc. Overall the impression was good.
