SERP is search engine result page. when you search for something, 10 sites show up on front page, 10 on the second page and so on. these search results are based on SERP ranking that was calculated using the algorithm search engines uses to rank a site. PR doesn't have anything to do with SERP ranking so go after SERP that will bring you the traffic. PR doesn't bring you traffic or make you money (unless you a a PR link seller).
