I am facing one problem last couple of days i have redirect my old website to new website and the PR of new website fluctuate. Could anyone tell me the reason why my website PR has fluctuate???
yes...read this ...in this Matt cuts interview ..he is not sure..but he said that 301 redirect can results in PR drop... here is the link www . stonetemple.com/articles/interview-matt-cutts-012510.shtml
301 redirects do not transfer all juice to the new page. Sad but true. I redirected a PR1 page to a new page and it (sadly) lost its PR1 status. In my experience you have to wait at least a month for Google to trust and begin associating the PR from the old page to the new page. Fluctuating is odd - but this may be Google just sorting things out.
bcz if you redirect your lod site on new site that time your new website PR was 0 but google after 15 or 20 days give you PR back but some time google give you PR after 1month. after how much time you get PR?
This can be happens even you do using 301 redirect tramsfering PR from old domain to a new one. It does take times around 4-9 weeks before things settled. You have to wait for the next PR update to see your current PR even you have already transfered completely.
That's true but matt cutts said in a video that you can pass most of the pagerank. So it is possible that not all of it is passed to the new site.
