Looks like your doing some good work. However, don't expect thousands of visitors in just a few months, especially for a non-hot topic.

I see you have posted two articles this month, maybe try posting more.
Are the articles unique? If not, you should add some.

But to get up to that level, you need consistent work for a long time. Consistent backlinks and new unique content that target specific keywords.

Yours is a highly specific niche and you would need to have backlinks from highly trafficked sites operating in this very niche. Become active in home decoration/design related forum if you find one and look to have reciprocal links from other sites working in home furnishing related products as well.
And yes... write good informative articles... more consistently! :)

that doesn't really make any sense. for few months of promotion doing what you are doing, you should get more than just few visits a day.

make sure you do proper keyword research to target the right keywords for your niche. then build backlinks using those keywords as anchor text. if you submit to the right article directories, you should get some instant traffic as well. you are on the right track, just do the proper keyword research and use the right submission list.

You have a really nice webiste. You could always post some of ways that your products benifit your visitors. If you have an eco friendly idea, that might help.

Did you ever do keyword research before put the hands on? According to Wordtracker - Keyword "Blinds and Drapes" has only 31 searches per year while "Custom Window Treatments" has only 56!! Even those are target keyword, it could bring you around 60 - 80 daily in Google only. From my experiences, you will not gone over 100 unique visitors a day even you ranked #1 for both in Google.com.

Just to make clear, a "blind" in North America is also the same thing as a window treatment. So the domain name does make some sense, like "bob the window treatment guy"

(P.S. I'm not sure if you are joking or not with your post)

    Hi, 2point2

I have just visited your site in your post and found you have only about 70 backlinks according to seoquake add-on. Honestly, it is hard to rank for any keywords with so little backlinks, IMO.
I think if you have targeted the right keywords for your sites, you should use them in your page titles, description tags and page contents. Of course, using them and their variants in anchor text of your backlinks would be more important for ranking purpose.

BTW, targeting some long tail keywords for your niche would be really helpful on the very beginning of any sites. :)

    Wish this help,

Ah, in the UK we use "Blinds" on our windows, not a blind, and we call window treatments "window treatments" not a blind, but we only talk English here not American.

If the domain works in the USA fine, but if i saw the domain in a search result i would assume it was a blog about a person who could not see, (as to me it looks like a "personal" site domain - not a company or sales type site domain), and would go to another result if i wanted blindS for my window or advice on them.

Nice looking site but it looks like you may of got the keyword basics wrong. A keyword loaded domain name would of helped tons.

    Something like www.fauxwoodwindowblinds.net

Keyword loaded domains can help but are not always necessary. The key is to make a big site with a lot of pages and a lot of backlinks from quality related sites. I was tempted to use a keyword loaded domain to target a big keyphrase. However, I already had a site with a lot of authority and decided to use it instead. Anyways, there weren't many choices for the domain. That's assuming you only wanted the keyphrase in the domain.
