Hello, Im looking for a dropshiping partner that is very reputable, not a middle man, and has thousands of brand name products that I can sell. Can anyone recommend a site / company? thanks
The majority of dropshippers would be middle man. I'd venture to guess most genuine manufacturers/wholesalers haven't even heard of the term "dropshipping".
Most people that work with a good dropshipper will be reluctant to tell you who they are as then you will all instantly become their competition. The best thing you can do is try to cultivate your own relationships with smaller merchants that are willing to drop ship on your behalf. Good luck with your search.
I know this is an old post but... I am an interior decorator and work direclty with many wholesale companies. Most do not drop ship - if they do there is usually an additional charge. Also many have minimum order requirements. Of course this is within my industry. If you just want to sell a couple of products you can contact merchants directly. But if you want to dropship tons of different products I would try and find a good middleman becasue it gets hard to keep up with all of the requirements from companies - and they change all of the time. And watch what Brad is doing in China - maybe he is going to set himself up as a drop shipper. Just my .5 cent Val
Large manufacturers wouldn't be interested, unless you're talking about ordering a container or more full of goods it's just not worth their while. I used to work for a small manufactuer, our mimimum order was $30,000 and it wasn't unusual to get $500,000 in a single order.
Doba is not a supplier they list other supplier programs and call them "Ruby" and "Onyx" etc that is part of the reason why they have multiple returns policies. Veratex looks to be the bedding and bath supplier and Moteng is another one of their suppliers. The difference is they markup the price, dropship fee, and shipping on some or all of the supplier programs that you see in their site. So the more you sell, the more of your revenue you really lose from not using the actual supplier. You can go to ripoffreport.com or the BBB to review any program before you get too involved. they were called wholesalemarketer before they had to rebrand, but you can possibly find more details about them on their old name as well. For Ipod products you can look at Dr Botts but there are other good options as well. You dont want to sell ipods and XBoxs and other products only by dropship. The reason is ipods and XBOX and other such products are famous for their MAP (minimum allowed price). this is why no matter where you look the price for the ipod product, for example, never goes on sale or below a set price. The reason for the price issue is if you try to sell below MAP you will lose the approval to sell those products, so you are better trying to sell items for these products like games, accessories, speakers, etc. Many sites and stores sell ipods and xbox and make little if any profit on these hoping to sell all of the other items that go with these products to make a profit.
