What is 3 D Secure IPIN ?

Hey guys,

Please let me know what actually '3 D Secure IPIN' is? Is it the password that I generate when I register for Verified by Visa? Can we have 3 D Secure IPIN for Indian debit cards supported by Visa or Master Card?

In case of HDFC Net Safe Card, how can we have 3 D Secure IPIN?

Please help as I am totally ignorant about the process !!

Yes it is the extra security code generated by Verified by Visa (Mastercard calls it Mastercard SecureCode)

I dont think it applies to HDFC Netsafe card because those cards are set to expire in 48 hours.

*I am not sure about debit cards either....contact your bank for clarification.


*Edit: according ICICI Bank yes you can register your debit card also

 

Its an extra security code for visa/master credit/debit cards.

 

But where do I find that IPIN ? Is that the same with my VbV password? Or there is some other code?
