hello experts, i am in a very strange situation. I am working on a key word that has medium competition for two weeks now keyword status: 80.000 returned google pages using " " order 28.000 returned google pages using allintitle order 58.000 returned google pages using allinanchor order average PR of the top 10 returned result =pr 2-3 links of the top 10 = from 0- 100 most of them are crap what i did: my page was already pr3 before any thing 15 unique article submitted to article directories including ezinearticles 10 bookmarks on do follow social networks 6 do follow links from mini blogs on wp and similar hosts that has unique articles anchor text are optimized well the problem: nothing happened at all i am no 666 on the returned google results.almost no long tail traffic increase (2-4 visitors like usual) all my work seems not working at all. i worked on a key word on the same niche before and i was able to jumb on the first page on google in less than two weeks. this word i succeed has almost the same competition like the keyword that failed whyyyyyyyyy i failed this time?
thanks for reply 2 weeks, i know it is not a long time but i used to see results immediately after the articles submitting and in a keywords that has almost the same competition, but it is not the case this time....
the bad thing that i don't see any long tail visitors increase, i used to see this increase weeks before the targeted key word ranking
2 weeks is wayyyyy too short to determine if you have failed or not. G is like a woman, sometimes you just have to put up with it's mood swing. Give it another month or two. No offense here ladies!
Google takes sometimes months before it ranks your site better. And maybe this time you worked on keywords with slightly more competition.
I had to learn very quickly at my position that SEO campaign work is a slow-going, "big-picture" process. I have been working on my current campaign for over 2 months and I am just now starting to see big adjustments on my SERP reports for Google. It looks like patience has been well covered in this thread in regards to advice, so I'll offer you another facet of encouragement. Do not, under any circumstances, do absolutely nothing. I don't care if your SERP results are stagnating; keep hitting the link building, keeping perfecting semantics on your site's code, keep churning out informative articles! Since it takes Google forever-and-a-half to reward you for your work, consistency is paramount for continual growth!
