Hi Guys please tell us your methods to getting ranked on google using the following scenario Youve just opened a brand new vacation website what are the steps you do to try and get it ranked Mine are below : 1) Submit to Travel Related Directories 2) Forum Posts 3) Sig Links 4) Blog Comments 5) Blog Posts 6) Profile Links 7) Blogroll Links from related blogs
Are these in any certain order? I would agree with most of them. I would stay away from profile links these days however. I would also add social bookmarking websites like delicious, stumble, digg etc, submitting articles to article directories and also other social media sites like twitter, facebook etc.
Bookmarking and article marketing are always good. Some people submit their site's RSS feed to major directories. You could also try creating a few quick videos and submitting them with Tubemogul. Find a few related blogs in the travel niche and offer to give them some high quality content in exchange for a link to your site. Simon
The only links that matter are links from relevant sources, and these come in two flavours: - contextual links - blog roll links personally i find the blog roll links to be the most powerful, especially when from strong sources
SEO is a continuous work, so just keep on searching nice and related websites where you can get ethic and white hat backlinks and you'll get all the power needed to rank
I just doing blog comment and forum post. it's great traffic resource and help you improve your backlink and PR
Social Networking, Social Bookmarks, Article Directories, etcc.. Are methods that work and are always used and suggested by members here.
Also create some squidoo lenses and also try to write an article for a popular blogs within you niche (guest posting).
you thread is great guide and you point about profile link is real because many of my website visitor come through my profile. daily ratio is 10 to 12 out of 50.
I think article marketing is one of those classic IM tasks that helps not only drive traffic directly, but also helps SEO both short and long term. I'd add video creation to any IM list because, to me at least, that seems to be the wave of the feature so to speak.
Better than any of these would be to get genuine reviews on relevant high-level bogs and websites. Even one permanent contextual link from a dedicated high-PR page on a power blog is likely to greatly outweigh all the links that you can build with methods you are proposing.
social media and bookmarking first - good links from trust sites later but this are the most important links. When you have a lot of them you can do anything - also a little bit black hat.
i do for my sites "do follow social bookmarking article, PR and directory submission RSS submission Blog Roll Links from related sites Blog comment forum signature Hub pages Squidoo lenses" Traffic is also a main point for good PR according to my experience.
