Is there any GOOD ebook / guide to Adwords or PPC in general?

Hi,

I read quite a few ebooks and reviews about optimization of PPC campaigns, primarily Adwords, but.. I spend hundreds of dollars on Adwords and even though I do see returns, the margin is small, and my niche is one of the most competitive on the net (so pay per click cots a lot).

Is there any really good guide on this thing? I know the basics, about keywords optimization and building a good ad, but I obviously miss something, as my competitors pay even $20 per click and see better profit margins.

Any advice would be so appreciated!

Have you considered hiring an adwords pro even just for a short term to get that fine detail into your account to help turn a better profit ?

 

DownUnder has made a great suggestion. Why not get an expert to have a look and make some suggestions? You never know it could make you a lot of money. In terms of eBooks a lot of DP members will usually suggest the Perry Marshall Guide.

Actually, my first thought was to hire someone to do the job for me, instead of spending time educating myself, BUT... probably i came across the wrong people, all i could get is either experts that would advice me the things i could teach him myself 5 years ago, OR experts that are probably really good in this field but they charge thousands of dollars before they even open their mouth, so i feel a bit uncertain if these x,xxx$ would really pay out. I know the basics, but i want to be able to beat the competition more effectively and improve the ROI.

For me...i'd say perry marshall is still the most highly rated PRO in the world of online marketing through PPC advertising.
I was tempted to pay for is DEFINITIVE GUIDE TO ADWORDS 2010....but i tell you...am in profit in my account after reading it...to me its still the best guide anybody can get for a few bucks at www.perrymarshall.com

I would also recommend Perry Marshall ebook as a great resource. You will not regret reading it even if you already know something. As for advanced stuff there is no good resources (who would share secrets?). If you come across super gerat tactics or similar read them if they are free, do not pay for them and do not trust them.

If you're doing affiliate marketing, you dont' want Perry Marshall. He doesn't like affiliate marketers. His clients are business owners who want to promote their own products, so if that's your case, then yeah it's a good resource.
