@ iroccamaro9 - Not bad! Good effort but not right for me I'm afraid. The text is definitely too dark. I would be worried the phone looks too much like an iphone, as the site will be doing all the popular mobiles. I think you got the concept ok though, that users will be be sexing up their phones with the sites wallpapers, becoming `cellebrities`.
@ DAKOUTEN - Sorry I don't get what the symbol is ? And if I don't, my users won't either. I like the different colours in the URL.
@ HUMOUROUS - Oh man, my first thought was it makes the url look like its a site about microsoft Excel ! The general colours are nice but I dont get the box border thing you have going on??? Nice enough design, just don't see how it is relevant to mobile phones, wallpapers etc
@ CHEWYSMUM - Just to clarify this folks, the site will have wallpapers on all subjects, like cars, movies, babes etc. It is NOT a celebrity wallpaper site. The concept of the site is that the users become "cellebrities" by sexing up their phones with our wallpapers. These are nice designs, but not relevant to the concept. The url looks like "Oellebritywallpapers" ? Also, didn't like the "button" shape. Would prefer logo is straight on top of white background.
@ TIGHTWAD - The colors are too cold, that's always the problem with blue. The font is somewhat cold as well. I get that you are choosing a font that looks like a phone text font but I would prefer something more exciting. I basically love that you have taken a phone and tried to work it into something - it doesn't quite work, but this is the best logo concept right this second and I am pleased you really tried to do something unique and creative
@ BURZOMAN - no good man. You took a font, threw a gradient at it and put a paintbrush stock image beside it. Terrible. And nothing to do with the site concept.
@ Sabosushimi - The bottom one is pretty cool. But I have no idea why the ball thing is there. None at all. I like what you did with the text colors. The ball is cool y'know, but the site doesn't sell balls
@ BS_webdeciphers - Blue and Red dont quite work together. The fonts aren't great either. The character is a good start but looks too rough for me to seriously consider. You couldn't really say it looked like a cellphone.
@ Relwan - If my site was aimed at only females you'd be in the lead. Unfortunately as the site is for both sexes I am concerned the design would be offputting to the men. Your concept is pretty solid though, I would be keen to see a second attempt from you? Your work here was really well thought out
@ TICKEY - The blue and grey is a little cold. I like the star a lot. I like that you tried to incorporate a phone but I dont get why you put it where you did? Even if it had been after the word "cell" (which seems more obvious) it would break up the url and make it hard to read/grasp. Could you rework it with the phone elsewhere? Outside the url maybe?
@ ANDIB - There's a lot i like about this. I love the `vibration`. Could you make the "C" less chunky? Maybe not run the length of the url? I like the warm orange hues, don't like the grey. I think this is a great effort, what would the next level be ?
@ RFAWZI - no way, are you kidding me? Are you seriously telling me that if you didn't know the site name that you would be sure you would learn it from this design?? Bad font, boring black & white, and the phones used are dull to look at & give the impression it's a site for that one make of phone. Sorry man, a complete bust.
@ bodil4o - I could do this effort by myself. Choose two fonts, add two gradients, throw on some stock image of a phone. This is NOT what designing a logo is about. Where's the creativity, passion and flair? Bland and unexciting.
@ zyndtel - i think the star in the "B" and the fact its a phone is good but that's all I like about it, sorry.
@ BHODUARTS - I have no idea why you have a womans head and a crosshairs thing in this logo. Far too much aimed at girls, way too feminine. I want web 2.0 and you are offering me MySpace stylings.
What are the dimensions you are looking for? Resubmission 1: http://i44.tinypic.com/1zydms2.png With the iPhone. I changed the font, changed to a warm orange as you suggested. Can add gradients, font, ect. The iPhone is easily the benchmark for all newage smartphones, i would imagine it will be a significant portion of your users. Submission 2: http://i44.tinypic.com/2l94m8p.png Without the phone. I like the silhouettes, they have an anonymity factor to them, lets the user see who they want to see. I have hundreds of them if you have any suggestions on what your looking for.
