What do you guys think about edsense on a site that sells products?

I write very good and informative articles to get traffic for a particular site of mine. I sell products on this site. I get lots of hits and reads on the articles, but little conversion on the products. I know the site isn't very old and time will come when i will rank higher and get more conversions, but you think about adsense only in the article section?
Or should i just stick to linking to my products from the articles?

Well if you write alot of articles like you said, I would suggest you use ContentLink advertising by Kontera, or if you get more then 500k pageviews a month, you should use Vibrant Media. Just go to kontera.com to learn about the contentlink advertising if you dont already know about it.

    AdSense will distract their attention.
So it's not really a good idea to put them on a website where you are selling something.

It's not a good idea. If you try to sell something , Why would you want people to run away from your website while they decide whether to buy or not:?

Sometimes adsense and affiliate programs/ selling products didn't get along very well:) In your case it's better to focus on your products or perhaps joining another affiliate in the same niches to complement your current ones.

I'd say keep the ads to a minimum and you should see some positive results. If you have visitors that aren't converting with you affiliate ads and product sales, they probably aren't finding what they are looking for. Adsense can be exactly the alternative you are looking for to turn those wasted visits into $$

Every single case is different. I'd say test it and see if you like the results.

You can try to wait for sometime and if the products still don't convert well, you can experiment with AdSense.

I say put it on there, if conversions go down because of it, measure the revenue lost on conversions to the revenue gained from adsense. If a combination or adsense and conversions produces higher profit, don't worry about the loss in conversions.

Experiments will give you the best story. However, havings Ads will not make you lose much. If a visitor is distracted by ad, probably hes not interested int he product already

OMG. You are so cool. The ole look at the misspelled word and reply with useless nonsense trick! Classic trick from 'I spend too much time on forums' guys like you. Man you got me, that was just so awesome.
Can I follow you on twitter and try to be cool like you?
