hmm, not sure, why don't you try by deleting that post and posting it again, then google will scan that as a new one, and see there is no previous.. or, post another article, and hope google will scan the whole index

You can use a pinging service after the changes have been done... and I am sure SE would suitably reflect the updation! :)

A backlink to the new page on a site that gets crawled frequently and doesn't nofollow.
    A DP sig, for example.

Use on of the top social bookmarking networks. This will have a great impact! Maybe Digg.

Most of them are nofollow. This includes Digg

Any fresh link could trigger a re-cache. You could try pingomatic.com

This doesn't matter. Your not trying to get any PR from it, you just want your site to be crawled and the Google Bot DOES follow no-follow.

    That's not what they say - http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=96569
"In general, we don't follow them. This means that Google does not transfer PageRank or anchor text across these links. Essentially, using nofollow causes us to drop the target links from our overall graph of the web. However, the target pages may still appear in our index if other sites link to them without using nofollow, or if the URLs are submitted to Google in a Sitemap."

I know there are instances where they appear to be following - but I wouldn't rely on it

Make the necessary changes in Title, then submit a sitemap and ping it to Google.
Wait for a couple of days and on the next crawl, it'll be fixed. It might take a few more days to populate the new title in all the datacenters.

If you want to remove content from Google's search results, that content should first be removed from the web. After these changes are made and Google has crawled the site again, the content should naturally drop out of the Google index
