Hmm... One of my sales just mysteriously dissapeared from the transactions page.

So I logged on to Clickbank and looked at the transactions page and a sale that I had made a few weeks ago mysteriously disappeared from the transactions page. There was no sign of a refund or anything. Does anybody know why this happened? Has anybody had this happen to them before? Is it normal?

Thank you in advance for your help,

    Matt

This has happend to me on SEVERAL occasions with MULTIPLE products. I am seriously considering quiting clickbank and signing up with another network or just using paypal to sell my own product. I'm waiting on a response from them in regards to the last time this has happend (yesterday). Well you should consider yourself lucky. At least you got to see the money. There have been MULTIPLE times where I've seen SALES(not order from submits or impressions...SALES) listed but no Money or credit for the sale at all. When questioned. Sometimes they answered and sometimes they didn't. The problem is that it's always the same answer - your buyer entered the wrong info, or the card was declined, or there was not enough money on the card (or something to that effect).

I just sent them the following email:

I've just checked my stats and I see that it happened with another sale. However for the affiliate is says "not set" and I do not have credit for the sale.

    So I have 2 questions

Question Number 1: Why does my sale not show up?

Question Number 2: Why does the affiliate (which I believe is me) show up as "Not Set" under the affiliate and vendor ID?

By the way, Please don't tell me that the buyer could have entered their billing information incorrectly, or that the buyers card may have been declined or that the buyer may not have had enough money on the card. I've already heard those answers several times for MULTIPLE products.

Thanks in advance for this matter.

    ______-

Anyway I'm waiting for the response. I'll keep you posted.

Are you talking about order for submits with no sales? That is completely normal, its usually just somebody goofing off and entering random stuff into the order form and clicking the submit button, it doesn't usually mean that ever intended to buy the product.

What I am talking about is an actual sale that showed up on the daily sales page and in the transaction page... and then it disappeared.

whoops! I feel kind of dumb now, I had the wrong date range set on the transactions screen. Sorry for cluttering this forum with another pointless thread.

LOL. Well at least you admitted it.

No I've never had a paymen show and then not show up. But in the past I've had sales counts show up (not order submit counts, sales) with 0 in the sales amount sections for gross, net, etc. Maybe I didn't get to it in time for it to show.

I'm not trying to bash clickbank, but if there is a tracking problem it needs to be addressed.

Guess the only what to know for sure is to split test with Paypal and other payment processers...

Does anyone know why it says "not set" under the affiliates and vendors in analytics? I i'm pretty sure it's me but shouldn't it show my clickbank ID instead of "Not Set"?

Sorry not trying to bump your thread or anything. Just figured it's somewhat relevant.
