Yep, I broke out some of the stuff into different subscriptions... phone verification (annual) and the username change (you can do it no more often than once every 90 days).

I think im also going to Use Adsense combinded with Vibrant Media (i heard they are the best)... not sure why DP doesnt use intext links, i dont mind... (Shawn?)....you can control the ammount of ads posted. I have also explored Value Click and Casale Media ( anyone using them, or is there someone better).

I have also explored CPALEAD.com, has anyone done well with them? Anyone making money with Amazon ? ( checking into them too.)

I like the idea of Subscriptions.....I think members like the extra features offered with subscriptions and will be willing to pay... Shawn how many members are in premium here? (im actually thinking about joining soon...i love DP.

I like Rectangles idea of multi tier memberships.

    Thoughts?

Textlink ads can also create slowdown problems from my experience. They do pay decent though.

    What's decent?

I've only got a few bucks per day and not really worth the site slowdown and bothersome to visitors.

    That's not decent to me.

I hate them regardless if they are lightly placed or not. Enough so that I would simply avoid a site that ran them (but that's just me I suppose).

*If* I were to ever do something like that, it would ONLY be shown to non-members (people that haven't registered).

I don't show ads to registered members either, only to visitors.

Intext ads are terribly obtrusive. People trust the links on your site to be made intentionally by the author.

Violating the trust relation that links are just links will degrade the reputation of your site.
