Can I use a pay phone to verify craigslist account?

I recently got blacklisted from CL and now every time I go to make a post it tells me I need to use phone verification but when I try it says phone number already in use with an account.

The reason I got blacklisted was because some idiot thought they would flag every single post I made and I would instantly repost it.

Anyway I was thinking maybe I can use a public pay phone to verify a new account with them would this work?

 

I'm not 100% sure about payphones but knowing that prepaid mobile phone numbers don't work with CL I doubt that payphones do ..

You can always try Voip you can get numbers pretty cheap from Skype.

 

You can buy phone verified accounts for about $4 each. Hardly worth the effort to try to do it yourself. It's good to have a few of them. You just need to change your IP after a couple of posts, and your cache.

 

The pay phone was only a few minutes walk away so no effort involved and it worked fine I might even get a few more accounts doing this.

 

Why to use so much things when you can get pva as many people are doign but you can use that phone to verify cl accoutn it wikll definitely work

 

Are you posting for your own site or for a client.If the latter, you might wanna try to use a remote desktop.This works a lot of time in my case.

 

It was just for my own site and I think the pay phone trick worked best for me since I wanted to get an account verified asap. All I did was take my internet phone with me and used it to go to craigslist site then I verified the account at the phone booth there and then.

So it takes no effort at all and in my case we are surrounded with pay phones so for 30 minutes work I could have about 10 accounts all verified and ready to go for free

If you were to do this in a shopping mall you could have about 20 accounts verified in about 15 minutes or less since there are several locations within the mall with about 5 pay phones next to each other.

 

what's frustrating me is I changed my phone number but can't find a way to change my phone number on my Craigs List account. I don't want to start using a different mailbox, since I have my Craigs List account attached to my fave e-mailbox. Does anybody know a way I can change my craigs list acct phone number?

This should not be an issue at all. Once you have verified an account on CL, that's it. It is done. The phone number no longer matters, and it can't be used to verify any other account. If you try to re-verify your existing account, CL will simply send you a message that your account has been previously verified, and doesn't need to be verified again.

Don't waste your new phone number. Use it to verify a new account. If you change your IP, you can post twice as much. If you want to be strictly white hat, you can use your new account as a backup, in case something happens to your current account.

 

Verification of phone number has prevented me though from posting using my default account.

The OP is the reason sites like Craigslist have gone down the tube and are constantly getting hammered by spammers. Knock it off and quit spamming! Or provide me with your home phone number, your address and all your personal email accounts so I can show you how it feels. SHEESH!

 

I was posting legit non spam ads and other personal stuff who said anything about spamming?

I'm not going to stop posting ads because some bored teenage kid wants to play silly games flagging posts for the sake of it. Luckily since I got my new account my ads have stayed.


So the OP is not the reason CL is going down the tube and if it was then I'd be a powerful person The spammers don't need to post anymore and I don't see much spam on there anyway cause the spammers use there little CL extracting tools to get thousands of emails to spam nowadays.

Unfortunately Voip not working with CL, I purchased recently a Skype number from NYC and tried to activate it in CL, it is not work witch Skyper numbers.
