Hi Alan, I'm interested on this. Could you please explain further why for you doing SEO manually is more beneficial? I'm actually using the same technique, but at times I am disappointed as I want to increase the quantity of my output. I hope to hear from you soon. Please advise.

I can’t believe how non-relevant most of the answers given to the OP’s questions.

Mate, here are some of the tools you can try out:

    Web CEO
    IBP
    SEnuke
    Link Dozer
    Article Submission Helper
    SEOmoz
    SEO Book

Hope this helps. If you are a newbie, start with web ceo and seomoz. Then go for advanced powerful SEO tools like SEnuke.

I prefer manual there are lots of tools and i agree it saves time but dont go for it. It is a spam measure and u will not get any good results from it.

There are lot of free seo tools available in the net. I use Firefox Plugins for my seo work.
Once I have purchased IBP, But I wont suggest IBP. Its waste of our money

the question is a bit vague but i find the SEOMoz tool set really useful. Linkscape (or Opensite explorer) is excellent and there are some great tools for analysing your site on there.
