Do you have a clear plan of online marketing strategies that you follow religiously... Are these the latest online marketing techniques that are proven to work? Or are you just like me and everyone else, confused as to what strategies you should be concentrating on and putting your time into? Did you realize that even the top online marketers suffer with this problem? It seems like every time you turn around there is someone claiming to have a new technique that will drive traffic to your opportunity and increase your bottom line. How many times have you purchased a training course only to find it didn't have the answers or the information was 6 to 12 months old and the strategies being taught were not effective anymore because so many people are now using them and have already planted a good footing making this technique to competitive and impossible to utilise to your advantage? I would love to hear your stories
I have toooo many stories to list here. Spent thousands upon thousands of dollars. Attended seminars and training sessions. 98% of the money spent was wasted. 90% of the time spent was wasted. I have many websites and make some money online. The online income is not nearly what I feel it should be. Luckily I run an offline business that does over 7 figures annually. I guess this is why I could afford to waste those thousands of dollars. I would not say it was a total waste however, I am making some money on line. I run over 40 websites and many of them are making consistent income. I'm sure my investment in time and knowledge will pay off 10 fold in the end. PS. I am heading to a seminar in Vegas this weekend and another in Chicago mid April. Guess I can't get enough.
Hi Tedmauro The internet is full of stories like this... I too have spent many thousands of dollars learning, my first 12 months were nut's and I hate to admit it but I still have 1 very expensive course that I have had sitting in the bookshelf for over 6 months now and not been through and studied it yet. Fortunately our business is going along OK and I believe we got lucky and learned from the right people "most of the time" We took a holiday in Vegas last year "Love That Place" on our way through to Austin Texas to spend a few days with one of the most successful online marketers around. What course are you doing in Las Vegas?
I too have been through the wallet draining wars. In the end I decided that the basics like article writing were the basics for a reason... they work.
There is so much information being thrown towards consumers right now. Way too much going on in the world. All they want is a bargain.
Thanks for this. Although I'm not overloaded, I still have to take some time to look over what I want and how to get there
The thing about seminars and online courses or E-Learning courses is it’s been used and abused so many times it’s almost always a pointless and normally expensive waste of time. Promotion is endless and ongoing, with new methods used all the time. I know many companies who have tried and failed I also know many who have had great success I guess it’s all just trial and error. I have seen hundreds upon hundreds of so called marketers or even development companies who claim to be the best but in fact turn out to be rubbish however there are still those whole deliver results. Take me, I personally am a rubbish speller and I can’t write for sugar, however give me promotion and I fly, it’s just something about the way I do things. If you search about you will find people to manage your promotion which will leave you to do what you do best, build your business. Experience and knowledge is a must always ask for examples and then check them, talk to other businesses and find out what converted, after all that’s all that matters. Search engines positions aren’t everything these days what with the power of social media the markets are wide open. Sure there are hundreds if not thousands of other marketers all trying to do the same things but targeting your market will pay you back. Information overload can be broken down into sections and sections of information are far more easily digested. It really isn’t that hard. Don’t take what you read literally, everything has been based on something at one time or another however not everything is still valid. I personally don’t read anything these days yet I’m more up-to-date than most. Everything online is about varity and bulk yet staying within boundaries. I hope this helps.
Going for the Turning Point seminar with Marshal Sylver. Going because of my connection to GVO. The crew from GVO is going to be there and I'm going to get to know them as my main motive.
I have found a shortcut system and receive high quality video training on all the latest marketing techniques that are working right now from a long list of the top online "gurus" Video training sent to my inbox every 30 days, this gives me time to learn and put things into action.
Understanding what you want and knowing what steps to take to get there is where a lot of people get lost in a situation of information overload. Theres just so much info going around twitter, facebook, SEO, PPC, Forums, email lists, CPM and the list goes on...
yes, i did suffer from information overload. but there is only one way to reach the potential customer these days, and that's through the search engines. period. so focus on SEO and PPC. now...if you have your own product or you're an affiliate...that's your part of the deal.
